Headshots

I take headshots for local amatuer dramatic societies for use within their show programmes, and foyer displays. Here’s a selection, most are black and white, however I’d like to attempt different styles in the future.

Return to the Forbidden Planet

For VAMPS’ Return to the Forbidden Planet headshots, we decided to do them in character and treat the programme as a flight booklet. They were typically dark and moody, and the final versions that appeared in the programme were cartoonified.

This isn’t the first time headshots were done in costume, as VAMPS’ Made in Dagenham were made to look as if they were taken in the Ford Factory, VAMPS’ Avenue Q had the puppets listed as cast, and St Neots Players’ Shakers were also in costume – but stylised in black and white with lipstick the only colour.
